ABOUT OUR TEAMS

Lego League [5th & 6th Grade]
This league consists of two teams, the Turtlebots and the Dirt Devils. Although we have two teams, they both work together as one teaching each other new things everyday. They are extremely creative along with hardworking, doing everything they need to accomplish. Their upcoming competition takes place November 22nd. They are always working on fine tuning their innovation projects and robot game missions, showing their dedication.

FTC Robotics [7th & 8th Grade]
The build season begins early September when game details are revealed to get their robot well adapted to the actions it needs to perform. Twice a week they work hard with building and brainstorming with the robot. Everything on the robot, from hardware, to software components. The coaches are Melody Wendling, Luke Wendling, and Denis Hughes. The team has been here since 2019 and has been helping kids in many different ways with things like teamwork and problem solving. Their first competition is November 15th and the following one is on the 24th. This team has been working extremely hard with prototyping and testing out the robot to make it the best it can be.

FRC [High School]
Our high school in team 8193 Steel Stingers. ALthough our season has not started, we meet up twice a week to work on organizing, media, and rebuilding the robot base. Our Coaches are Jane Devota, Jeremy Ziola, and Ben Gillett. They work with our team captains, Ricky Ziola and Noah Gillett. The build team has been working on rebuilding, fixing parts of the robot, and organizing the room that contains all of the parts. The media team has also been working with the robot room, along with rebuilding our social media and helping with sponsorships, flyers, and making our new team shirts. This team shows teamwork through everyone helping each other, alongside strengthening the program throughout the school and the commitment they have to the team. Our season starts in January and we will continue to prepare for the upcoming season.

THE FUTURE DOESN'T BUILD ITSELF.  WE DO.
