District Mission Statement

"In partnership with the community, we seek to instill in students high standards for academic excellence, integrity, leadership and responsible citizenship."

It has been an honor and pleasure to serve this community and district as the Superintendent for the past eight years. I look forward to the challenges and experiences that lie ahead as the instructional leader of the district. I sincerely believe by working together as a PreK-12 TEAM and community we will give our students the best school our community has to offer.

My family and I are excited to be a part of this community. Preceding my employment with the district, I graduated from Howell High School and earned my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice at Michigan State University. Additionally, I obtained a Masters of Arts Degree in Education Administration (Educational Leadership) from Central Michigan University. Furthermore, I earned my Ph.D. from Michigan State University with an emphasis in K -12 Educational Administration in December of 2016. My prior education employment included, Junior/Senior High School Principal for New Lothrop Area Public Schools from 2010-2014 and Principal of Lincoln Alternative High School for the Owosso Public Schools from 2005-2010.

The staff and I are strongly committed to doing our part. Some of our most important goals are to provide an educational environment necessary for student achievement both in and outside of the classroom, to ensure a positive climate /culture in the building, and increase communication with parents and community members. Given this, I will continue to have an open door policy for any student, parent, or community member who may have questions or concerns. Your input is always welcome and valuable to the success of our students and school.
